Monday, July 13, 2009 from 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM (MT)
Southwest Job Network (SJN) is pleased to announce an upcoming West Valley event, "Slow Networking." You are invited to join us on Monday, July 13, 2009 for an evening workshop.
SJN greatly appreciates that this event is made possible through the support of and partnership with Glendale Community College.
Event Details
Heard of speed networking? That’s great when you want to meet 20 or 50 people, but you only get a few minutes with each one.
We have a better approach! SLOW networking – go slow to go fast. Spend 20-30 minutes with someone and you’ll really get an appreciation for how they can help you in your job search, and how you can help them. Our facilitators will guide you through a step-by-step process and you’ll leave with at least 4 new, high quality, strong network connections! There is no fee for this session.
Event Preparation
To get the most out of this session you should:
• Have your 30 second elevator speech prepared
• Be able to convey the value/benefits you bring to the table
• Have a rough sense of the purpose of a networking meeting
All registrants will receive a pre-work assignment to help you prepare for the session.
